'Oldy worldy' accomodation with lots of character set back a little way from the main A46. Owner and staff were really helpful, even to the point of walking the streets to find a parking space. Excellent restaurant attached - had a lovely evening meal. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice quaint old hotel in historic building. Room was nice, but a small desk would be very helpfull. Wifi very erratic.

The view from the windows was great. We were on the top floor. It was roomy and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was down a couple of steps and you had to watch your head in there. It was a bit of an angular room with the wall jutting out by the toilet. Breakfast was OK. The croissants were not really flaky but more of a roll type thing.

Awesome Exeptional place

We were extremely pleased with our stay , The house was simply amazing full of character. Our room the highlands was very clean, quirky and cosy with a great view. The breakfast was lovely with great choice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bistro restaurant downstairs has lovely freshly made food and the couple:chef are very friendly giving excellent service . The house is at an excellent location on top of hill with amazing views. The village is quiet, very pleasant and the people are very friendly. Beautifull church with gardens and shops, restaurants around. John the landlord is a very nice inspiring person and he greets all his visitors looking after all. John communicated with us from our booking point until we left. We would highly recommend cardynham house and this village to stay. There are excellent view points nearby with lovely walks.

Quaint town in the beautiful Cotswolds area. Great location for day trips. Spectacular dinner at the hotel. Historically decorated bedroom so my children were delighted to be sleeping at a medieval manor (with modern facilities) Warm hosts from Romania

The staff are great, the two ladies that made and served breakfast also cleaned and tidy the rooms, both absolutely lovely and so friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable although I think they would be better without the fake four poster it made the room claustrophobic. The bathroom was very clean and basic. Although it was an old traditional Cotswold property you didn’t get the feel that any of it was authentic which was a pity. Parking is not great but there is a large car park which is free within walking distance. My only real disappointment was the gentleman who answered the door to us on arrival. We knew we had arrived an hour early but he was so rude and so unwelcoming we immediately started looking for an alternative place to stay, thankfully our paths didn’t cross again. Not only was he rude he was condescending and patronising. Based on the property and amenities I felt it was rather overpriced and didn’t warrant four stars, there are better B&B’s in the area. Once again, the staff were absolutely lovely and made our stay enjoyable so thanks to them

Just the tonic!

Having been to Cardynham house around 5 years ago we knew what to expect. The location is perfect for a weekend of relaxation. Plenty of walks and beautiful views to admire, its just the tonic to escape from every day hustle and bustle. We stayed in the old Tuscany room and feel it could do with a little TLC although the en suite is large and the fireplace is a beautiful feature. I loved the shutters on the windows!! The view over roof tops for us was a little disappointing but didnt ruin anything as we were out all day. The breakfast gave plenty of choice and really tasty ( pre ordering the night before)..although we felt the service could have been slower! At one point we hadn't finished cereal before the hot course was on it's way!! Friendly staff and a lovely retreat non the less. The Oak next door has been refurbished since our last visit and it hasn't lost its charm. The food there is amazing!...I loved the venison cottage pie so much so I had it twice 🙂!!!
