"Ethan was top notch at our check in with hospitality. Tino at Marsh Tavern was super kind at breakfast. Love the history of the Equinox. It’s a historic hotel, so don’t expect a contemporary pristine brand new place.
The hotel is gorgeous with its authentic charm. A disappointment to us was the high amenity fees and no time to use them with the hot tub and pool closing at 8 pm. We tried to use the bikes, but the handle bar broke and so did the chain. We ended up having to drive back and forth to bring it back from down the street in the back of our jeep. Bycycles need brakes and attention.
We did enjoy our stay at the Equinox. Just wish the amenities had worked out better."
"We had rooms on the first floor, both had a damp and moldy smell. The breakfast was adequate but the warm section ( eggs, sausage, hash brown) doesn’t get replenished often enough and there was always a long wait. Now onto the good part- bathroom was well updated, rooms are clean, parking was easy. Location was good, walkable to town center."
"Only there for one night:
Plusses: excellent staff, comfortable bed and nice amenities.
Nonos: full house caused a parking nightmare. Even with a handicapped placard we were accommodated to allow parking in front of the loading dock.
Also, no elevator and steep stairs to the 2nd floor.
I’d stay there again and I’m a frequent traveler."
"I did not like how the pool was closed during the stay without acknowledgment prior. Im not sure if there is a way for a voucher or coupon code for another stay when it is running. Overall fantastic"
"I was traveling with my dog and the hotel was very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi unfortunately wasn’t reliable and there was no cell service. The only thing I would say needs improving is the entrance lighting. I arrived in the dark and the road didn’t have any light so I had to rely solely on gps telling me to turn because even though there were lights on the hotel sign, I couldn’t make out the actual turn into the hotel it was so dark and sorta drove past and had to back up. "
"It appears the place was recently remodeled and repainted, and the facilities were clean. However, the room was situated close to the ground, so the bedding felt damp. Also, the bathroom door wouldn't close completely, and the curtains couldn't be fully drawn shut."
