A beautiful location - so quiet and peaceful yet walking distance into the Strahan village and surrounds. We enjoyed a magical walk to the very close-by Hogarth Falls - very special indeed.

For the price we paid we were not very impressed. The TV was not working and we had to call for assistance. The shower door was very tight and difficult to shut. There were no spoons to stir your tea or coffee and it appears that we were charged $10 for a little bit of milk. We asked for plates to have some take away food and were given bread and butter plates. The reception fellow seemed to be looking after everything and was run off his feet. The only chairs provided were very fancy but not very comfortable. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable, the shower nice and hot and the room and house was very beautiful.

Beautiful Stay in Strahan

Franklin Manor was a beautiful historic house. It was a short walk into Strahan along the waterfront. Thomas, the manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included, was beautifully presented & delicious.

Franklin Manor is a beautiful old house, with so much character! The best shower I've ever had and a great breakfast thrown in. Its a nice walk into the township of Strahan and Hogarth Falls hike is almost next door. Loved our stay here 💜

Wonderfully maintained period home with comfortable appointments in a quiet and attractive setting. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable of the local area and helpful. Light Breakfasts were enjoyable. A wonderful stay and would be very happy to return.

Lovely place

Really nice place! I just love old buildings! The room had heating in the bed and it was perfect tho we visit in march. The drinks were perfectly made, and we had them in front of the open fire, sooo coz!

A true mansion!

First impressions were Wow! The history and decor is true to the character. Staff can’t do enough for you - always happy to oblige. Breakfast was good, comfort was high. No TV wasn’t an issue with so much to do and enjoy if you desire. Easy walking access to town. Parking can be challenging during busy times.

Room chairs are very uncomfortable but suited the decor of the property. Some curtains were tattered, spiderwebs in corners and around windows. The breakfast was very nice as was the service. The property is in keeping with the period but the gardens have been let go.

Nice vintage house within reasonable walking distance to center of town. Nice vintage decor fit the era of the house. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable but not real sound proof. The continental breakfast served in the dining room was great, varied, and very filling.

Franklin Manor is an old house that has been renovated. One of our nights was very hot but there is no aircon throughout the property. Managers of the property were attentive and friendly.

The rooms are small but the overall building is amazing. Great old building, wonderful sense of history, Nice fires and feeling to the place. We were the only guests, it was winter but I think it had only just re-opened. The manager was very hospitable, was missing a few ingredients for my partners cocktails but the place had a great feel.
