Romantic Hotels in Stock Island, Key West

"These are recently renovated “condos” with 2 beds/2 baths, full kitchen, dining, and living area. Master bath is very nicely done with a giant shower for two. Very large deck/porch off each unit. The A/C went out but the friendly front desk and maintenance crew repaired it quickly. Resort has a large pool and large sand beach area with plenty of chairs and cabanas. New gas grills are near the pool area. There is a tiki bar on site with food. No complaints about this property whatsoever. There is a kayak tour guide right next door and I highly recommend their night kayak tour. The property is at the opposite end of the island to Old town/Duvall street. It’s about a 20 min bike ride to Duvall, and a 9 minute bike ride to Publix."

"This was a wonderful stay. The property had a shuttle which provided transportation to two stops in the Key West area. The staff was wonderful and accommodating for any questions or problems. Only issues we had, elevators were broken so had to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. Also the hot tub was broken for 4 of our days and we were very disappointed. The main restaurant and bar area were excellent with great daily happy hour specials. The pool restaurant and bar were also excellent with friendly bartenders. The pool was well maintained and plenty of towels for guests. We will definitely stay here again. A bit off the busy Duval St activity which we liked, but with the shuttle, we could get there within 15 minutes."

"This place was a dump. The shower floor was black. This place needs some serious updates pronto. It is on a major highway and you hear roosters all the time. The animal pens were subpar. You need to take a taxi to places because it is far away from everything. We stayed one night and left for another resort. The staff at the Stone Crab were friendly. The water around the property looked like sludge. The bay beach was yucky. I wouldn't swim there."
