"The room was generally clean and comfortable. However, I noticed there was quite a lot of dust under the bed, so this area could use a little more attention during cleaning. "A lovely hotel. The room was excellent and the on-site restaurant (not owned by the hotel) was equally excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact it was difficult to find anywhere to hand up our clothes after a very wet journey, there wasn't a grab handle in the shower (which I need) and as the hotel is encased in a large church and there was no external branding, we couldn't find it though it was right under our noses!"

"The rooms are very clean, and cleaned daily The rooms are large and consist of sleeping area and Living area, the views from the bedrooms are of the marina which are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and you can use the fantastic swimming pool as you wish. For the cyclists, take your bikes with you and there is a locked dry bike shed. The cycling paths are excellent, very safe and endless. They have a huge parking area and it's free"

"If you are looking for a bog standard corporate hotel this is not the place for you however if you are looking for an hotel with character and very helpful staff try this out. We were greeted by the manager who, on seeing that we were on motorbikes, very kindly opened her garage for us to store them overnight. The rooms, reached by a steep winding staircase, are a bit tired and could do with a revamp but they are clean and comfortable, as were the beds. The WiFi was good in both the rooms and the public areas. The bar was welcoming and the breakfast was very good indeed. The location was excellent, one canal away from the centre. If passing through again I would definitely stay here again."
