2/10 Terrible

"The pipe in the toilet broke. So our bathroom began to flood. We asked if we could be moved to a different room immediately. Instead, we were told to remain in our hot, smelly and flooded room while the maintenance guy took a look. And then after that, we were able to get a change into a significantly smaller room. We’d like a discount or a refund for the second night at the very least."

Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Renaissance is a good option for anyone needing an airport hotel (especially if you are arriving late and will be heading out of London soon, or you have to catch an excruciatingly early flight). Typical rather bland contemporary design but the rooms are comfortable and clean. Good restaurant and bar but rather expensive for what they deliver (but this *is* Heathrow!). You have to use a bus shuttle (HotelHoppa from Level 0 in Terminal 2 is efficient and not too expensive as airport facilities go) or a car. Everything ran smoothly for me even though I arrived at the same time as a plane-load of grumpy passengers from a cancelled flight. Renaissance is an economical and efficient option, and I would rely on it again if I had to."

"I would not stay here again. It was extremely inconvenient to get to our room. There was only one way in and out of the hotel. We were on the opposite end. To get to our room we had to take an elevator to the floor above our floor and go through a maze of hallways then take an elevator down to our floor and go through another maze of hallways. It was frustrating to get around the hotel. The staff was not very accommodating. The air in our room did not work well and we did not get maid service. I’m usually not disappointed but this is the exception. Stay somewhere else."
