The breakfast had three apples and three packets of oatmeal out. Very disappointing. One day we left for the day around 6:30am and the worker was asleep on the couch in the lobby.

The man that checked me in was rude, no warning about a dep to make sure i dont steal his towels. Made me feel really uncomfortable, he never once made eye contact with me. The fridge didnt work and we of course we didnt know until the next morning when his meds werent cold at all. No where really to eat, fhe breakfast at the hotel was toast and cereal, bruised apples. The juices were awful, toliet paper so thin u coyld see thru it. This is what i get for booking online and not researching the area.

Works in a pinch for the price

It was a crazy day they had a tornado go through the city just before we got there. They put us in a room with the tv already on when we got there , a none smoking room had cigarette butts on the floor and stunk of cigarettes. He pool left a lot to be desired as it was not very well kept, and the spa was completely out of commission. Breakfast was a complete waste of time , just hot oatmeal, toast fruit loops and Raisin Bran and coffee nothing else . I really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know.

Good enough

Exactly worth the money. There are some semi-permanent residents, which can feel unsafe. Accessible room very tight for wheelchair, but at least there was a bench.

Nasty Pool

The hotel was fine and the staff were nice but the pool was nasty and the chlorine levels were so high that it triggered asthma attacks in both of my teens. Over all, though, I got what I paid for.

Book the room at Days Inn that was to have heated indoor pool Jacuzzi and breakfast and got no Jacuzzi working no breakfast and cold pool. Front desk and housekeeping was very friendly. Should’ve been made aware of what they didn’t have.

When I got there at 2a they had cancelled my room. They couldn't get me a room because it was booked and they were doing night audit. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place

On arrival the clerk who I believe is the owner was very rude. Mini fridge was turned off, hot tub was not in use, and pool area was completely closed down unless requested to "save money". Could not use the fridge for hours. Never got to use the hot tub which was advertised, and had to hunt someone down to ask about the pool so they could open it up and turn the lights on. Only 2 towels in room for 4 guests. Questionable people just hanging out outside and in lobby.

Days inn pontoon beach Illinois worst hotel

I planned spring vacation for my family on March 9 to March 11 2025. 2 rooms and extended the 2 rooms for March 11 to 12 at Days Inn Pontoon Beach Illinois. When I first booked in with my family I noticed over 30 illegal immigrants drinking beer in the pool area and dozens of beer bottles on the floor. I ask the attendant about it and he said it’s not a problem. So I checked on in, not knowing what I was going to encounter. It was late so the next day I didn’t want to stay there anymore because there where cigarette burn holes in the linens, stains on walls, brown rust water, people fighting and I was afraid to stay because I had my children. So the next day I canceled the rest of my stay which my canceled was March 10, 11, 12 but they refused to refund me and I payed a 100 deposit and they refused to reimburse me my deposit. I have a 2 year old and I refused to stay at a hotel where illegal immigrants are drinking all times of the night, people fighting and doing drugs. Days Inn Pontoon Beach Illinois is the worst hotel I’ve ever booked. I had to book another 2 hotels in which I had to spend 400 dollars. Days Inn Pontoon Beach Granite Illinois. This hotel needs to be investigated because they have illegal immigrants living out the rooms and it is a health department violation. It is unfair how they not reimburse you for rooms you didn’t stay in. This hotel has so many health department violation and needs to be investigated.
