"Booked a room for 3 nights. Once arrived in reception, I was told there were no rooms available as the hotel was overbooked. The hotel didn't communicate anything to me, nobody bothered to arrange an alternative accomodation in advance, I was just left waiting in the reception area. The worst detail is the receptionist had full awareness of the problem much earlier in the day, apparently she was just hoping in a no show. After 1 hour I just booked a room elsewhere, very bad service and planning skills. I still don't understand how my reservation was confirmed, whatever computer system should be able to flag overbooking issues in 2026."
