"We so enjoyed our stay at Steenberg estate as well as the stunning food in the Bistro. Best meal ever! All the staff were charming, helpful and efficient. I asked if a badly marked tee shirt could be laundered within 2 days - and it was back in my arms, spotless within about 1.5 hours. How?!! Also, a shout out to Brandon who although he was fairly new to the staff team, was extremely helpful. Have you ever stayed in a hotel when you find your car won't start because you've left a light on over night - and within just a few minutes, it's painlessly sorted by the hotel team?"

"Loved our room and the entire hotel. I believe there were only 2 other guest rooms occupied when we were there in late March 2026. Breakfast was delightful and Rizea was particularly nice to pack us a to go breakfast when we needed to leave early in the morning on our first day there. Loved the glassed enclosure and the beautiful indoor gardens. We’d definitely stay there again! "

"If you are looking for a nice warm and quiet stay in Newlands outside of the craziness of downtown. This is the place to be, lovely couple that own the Newlands Guesthouse with fantastic staff. If only they had control of the weather. I went it the autumn and lots of rain."
