"The Expedition Lodge is very quirky and different, but in a good way! Definitely not a cookie cutter chain hotel...and you should like stairs, lol. The lodge seems to be built on a hill and there are several short sets of stairs in all directions from the lobby. There is an elevator that will bring you to some of the rooms, though. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient, and provided suggestions on our RMNP itinerary. The lodge had THE MOST unique breakfast I've ever experienced where you could opt for breakfast or lunch-type options. They are renovating certain areas, too. We were very happy with our stay!"

"There is so much history in the hotel. It’s fascinating to learn the history of the hotel, to actually stay in this piece of our history. From the extra wide hallways on each floor to the beautiful main staircase that covers 5 floors, the beautifully restored lobby to the peaceful, quiet veranda and garden area that overlooks the big pool of the historic Glenwood Spa, it’s one of my favorite places in the Rocky Mountains. Downtown Glenwood is walk friendly with a great bridge over the Colorado River connecting the Colorado Hotel with the historic train station (still in use) and many excellent restaurants and shops, which are historic in themselves. "

"I loved the heated bathroom mirrors, no issues with condensation. The bathroom could use another hook for cosmetic bags. Breakfast was excellent, keep the crew making fresh scrambled eggs and green chili. Only negative down there was the toilets in the bathroom on that level in the woman’s bathroom were so short, probably less then 18 p”. thank goodness there was a handle to help you get up "

"The staff were absolutely amazing and made our experience the best it could have been. The hotel is very nice. We found a few dust bunnies in our room so I would have liked to see that be better. Also, we would love to have more options of food in the restaurant. I understand the hotel is going through some renovations soon so that may clear up some of these little issues."
