"I would rate this place overall excellent except one thing.
Our room had several problems. The biggest, we were behind the elevator and there is a structural issue causing the wall to creak and groan every time the elevator moved. Sounded similar to an old ship in the ocean. Also even though this building was pretty new, the room had a plumbing leak causing the shower to drip randomly and the toilet seat was very nice but loose. Otherwise, I mean this placed knocked it out of the park! Food, drinks the atmosphere… everything was amazing!"
"This was our fourth stay over the past month. Right off the freeway so easy access. Suggest requesting an inside room farther away from traffic which is relatively light for the season. Would return."
"Upon arrival, bed sheets were dirty and had obviously not been changed prior to our arrival. Housekeeping was unavailable so we had to change the dirty sheets ourselves.
The breakfast room was not maintained and the selection was the worst I’ve seen. The available fruit was old and the bananas were literally brown. The worker wore gloves when refilling the cereal dispenser, but was repeatedly pulling up her pants with her gloves on before touching the food. She could see the breakfast room was destroyed but did nothing to make it more presentable or inviting for guests to enjoy.
Next time, we will spend more money for a cleaner hotel and edible continental breakfast when in Ashland. Do not recommend! "
"The place is well located with beautiful views of the river. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and provided a speedy check in. The free breakfast is a life saver and very good"
"This place needs an update incredibly bad we normally stay at IHG or choice properties and travel across country often but there properties were booked so we couldn’t stay at one of those properties and we had to go with this one as we had our dogs with us and needed a pet friendly hotel with two beds. It was barely clean, super run down, a dog across the hall didn’t stop barking from 9 pm to 7 am but I we were to exhausted to deal with it and just did our best to ignore it. There was garbage equipment all over near the pool made it look like a landfill. The beds are terrible and broke down probably haven’t been switched out in over 10 years. Don’t waste your money keep going into grants pass and stay there with a newer property is what we should have done and was our original plan but again we were exhausted and needed to stop. "
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medford-Central Point by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Room was clean and staff is friendly but breakfast area was crowded, items frequently ran out without refills for long time, so you got to go on the tour rather than waiting for it, and the tables were dirty and not cleaned between diners"
