"My husband, dog and I stayed in the Rain Song Suite for one night. It was a nice spacious and comfy room for us. We were just travelling through on our way home from Myrtle Beach.
We arrived after 8pm so it was dark and no one was at the desk. They left us our key and we had no problems finding our room. We had a little fire at the fire pit before bed with a couple of drinks which was nice to be able to do in March.
In the morning, I had breakfast which was great! It did take a few minutes as they had to start cooking it once I showed up, which is understandable - it was hot, filling and delicious. Normally, they charge $10/adult but as it was low season, it was free.
The only criticisms I had were that the shower needed some TLC (caulking needs to be replaced) and not sure of other restaurants in the area of you were to stay more than one night. The buildings are older and probably a lot of work to keep up.
I definitely recommend staying here. It was reasonably priced. For note, this hotel is at the edge of the town's downtown - I had assumed incorrectly that it was in a more rural area."
