"I had a pretty frustrating experience booking through Expedia. Back in March, I booked and paid for a room, got my confirmation, and thought everything was good to go.
After a concert, we showed up late that night expecting to check in, but the front desk couldn’t find any reservation under my name. Even with proof of booking and payment, there was nothing in their system. Not a great feeling after a long night.
I ended up on the phone with Expedia customer service for about an hour trying to sort it out. The rep was nice, but unfortunately they couldn’t find us another room nearby or offer much of a solution.
At that point, we had no place to stay and ended up driving all the way back home, getting in around 5am. Definitely not how the night was supposed to end.
Overall, this experience really hurt my confidence in using Expedia. When you book and pay ahead of time, you expect the room to be there, especially late at night.
I’d really appreciate Expedia taking a look at this and offering some kind of goodwill gesture, like a free or discounted stay, to help make things right. I’d like to keep using the service, but this was a tough experience."
