"Highly recommended clean and breakfast was great"

Menger Hotel

"I first stayed in this historical hotel 3 years ago with my 88 yo mother and the place was fantastic. Well, all I can say is this hotel has fallen from its way. No daily room service, no replenishment of water, coffee, or towels. Expect to spend a premium price for not so premium services. Parking is $54 a night and the valet attendants expect a tip, which I provided when the services were adequate. Expect dirty hallways with dirty dishes and laundry bins right out your door. Expect a dirty pool area in the morning to look at as well. Im sorry but this hotel is filthy. I've stayed three years in a row but never again. The hotel operator, I swear, was trained in handling irate guests. Nice work Menger staff, you just lost a customer forever. Skip this place and book the Crocket Hotel right next door. Better restaurant, better bar and a staff that will go out of their way to make you happy. And did I mention the Menger restaurant closes at 8pm with no morning coffee service. Just an extremely crappy stay!"

"The room was a different room from what i booked originally. They put me in a room that had wet carpet, probably by the AC leak, where the unit was installed under the window. Due to the wet carpet and closed room, the whole room stinks like you entered a public toilet. This was complained to the hotel and they did nothing about it except saying that they will let the management know. Parking is definitely a chaos. They have a daily extra fee of $17 that seemed totally unnecessary with the kind of experience I got. Parking per day is an additional $36. Overall, the experience was horrible and this hotel does not deserve the price that they charge for their rooms. Also, the call center gave me different information and the front desk had a different information. Not staying here next time and definitely dont recommend. Stay away from here, find a better place for the amount you pay."

"Nothing in the room worked none of it was updated we were put in a lower level since they were doing construction on the higher balcony’s just to be next to the building across the streets a/c units balcony door wasn’t sealed so that’s all you could hear the water view we were promised and payed for was blocked by a building the restaurants upstairs takes priority over the hotel 100% they flood the lobby with people that don’t even stay there so we had to get a refund because the issues we did have were never solved and it was the worst experience honestly they didn’t even attempt to fix anything the rooms aren’t ready until 2 hours after check in time you pay for parking on top of a 100$ deposit nightly in case anyone missed that Defiently would recommend the best western over them the best western is connected to a very nice small pizza place and seemed so much more peaceful there super nice there"
