Top South Pender Island Hotel Reviews
The Sidney Pier Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our two night stay. Large ocean view room with king bed which was so comfortable. Will opt for a balcony next time. Enjoyed lounging in the robes provided sipping coffee. Housekeeping was able to provide more coffee pods as we wanted to take a slow break. On Sunday afternoons in the summer there is free music in the park directly in view of the room. Which is why we chose this hotel. The cafe on the lobby level had the best almond croissants I’ve ever had for an extremely good price. Already miss having them. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to park our car before check in which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is right on the walking path at the ocean. Lots of restaurants and shopping close to the hotel plus it’s all level. Love Sidney."
Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay

"Nice amenities and access to the bay for paddling"
Holiday Inn Victoria Elk Lake by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"This property is great for families. We had a room on the main floor that opened onto our patio and a good sized swimming pool. We used this a lot with the seven year old. The beds were comfy and had nice pillows and bedding. The breakfast in the Lakes restaurant was generous and tasty, and the staff were very obliging. The rooms were clean and everything worked. We would return here again as it served all our needs and was just off the highway and it was easy to drive to everywhere in Victoria. It was a two block walk from Broadmead Mall and Thrifties which was handy as well. A friendly place to stay for an Island holiday."

"wonderful location with a great view"
Mayne Island Resort
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay overall. The property is very quaint and peaceful, and we loved our ocean-view villa — it was comfortable, beautiful, and a lovely place to spend a few days on Mayne Island. Unfortunately, all of the resort amenities, including the pool, hot tub and sauna, were under maintenance during our stay, so we weren’t able to use any of them. It made the property feel less like a resort and more like an Airbnb-style stay where you’re largely on your own. We also ate at the restaurant on Friday night and dinner took close to three hours, which was especially difficult with kids, so I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant based on our experience. Most of the staff were very friendly, although one person at the front desk was quite dismissive when we asked questions about the island and didn’t seem particularly interested in helping. That said, we still really enjoyed our time on Mayne Island and loved our villa. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends — I’d just suggest exploring the island for meals and going in with the expectation of more of a self-contained getaway than a full-service resort."
