Staff of the lodge is super friendly, and all our needs and wishes were taken into account. Especially the safari guide was real professional and put all jos effort that we could see as many animals s possible. Can warmly recommend this lodge to all travellers visiting South Luangwa National Park!

Excellent service at Royal South Luangwa Lodge

From the first second or family arrived Andrew and Jacob s well as the rest of the staff were super friendly and took care of every need. They took our food orders, washed and dried our clothes, offered us drinks, set up the WiFi, and shared knowledge with us about Zambia and South Luangwa National Park. Our rooms and showers were clean and comfortable. Showers had hot water for those who enjoy that. We had a bonus from the local dance group and we enjoyed the traditional dance show.

The property is in a quiet area with excellent staff that were very attentive and personable. The food was very good and they were able make things off the menu like vegetarian options and local food. The safaris were great, we saw lots of amazing animals. They don’t have mosquito nets and there are a lot of mosquitoes! They sprayed our room with Doom once and we found 70 dead mosquitoes on our bed after that, but the smell gave us headaches so we sprayed ourselves with repellent all the time but still got many bites. The manager was off site so communication was tough since cell connection was spotty, Internet power low and conversations in these conditions are hard to understand. Aldo, they changed the rate we were charged for a safari after it was finished. That said I think it’s still a good deal compared to other properties and would consider staying there again.
