"Our stay at MGM Grand was a mix of positives and frustrating experiences. Unfortunately, two people in our group had their wallets stolen, which was very upsetting. When we went to Lost & Found, the employee there told us she was on break and that no one else was available to assist us, so we would need to come back later. Given the situation, that response felt dismissive and unhelpful.
We told housekeeping in person that we did not need our room cleaned, but they still entered and partially cleaned it, which was odd. To be fair, we didn’t put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but it was still unexpected. The thermostat was set to 65°, yet the room would not cool below 69° and felt much warmer, making it uncomfortable at times.
The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the property met expectations. The pool was heated and very comfortable, which we enjoyed. However, there was only one server at the pool, so service was very slow unless you walked up to the bar. Seating around the property was limited unless you were eating or gambling, which was inconvenient. The elevators frequently malfunctioned and often wouldn’t let us select our floor, forcing us to switch elevators.
The location is great, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, but overall the service and security issues made the stay disappointing."
