"This is an older property that has been renovated. It’s very cute and comfortable. It’s right on the beach and most of the rooms are facing the beach. We will gladly stay here again. "
"Good place. It just a little dated. People left me alone, which was good. I absolutely love the receptionist, Elizabeth. She was really kind and warm spirited."
"This price cannot be beat! We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our second-floor room, and the room itself was larger than we expected and extremely clean. This is kind of a bare-bones place in that you do have a virtual check-in, breakfast is just a few grab and go items that do not vary, and there is absolutely no housekeeping. We stayed five nights. However, you can talk to an agent in the virtual kiosk and get extra towels or toothbrush or toothpaste or toilet paper, so it’s not as though you can’t get more items, you just have to somewhat be the maid yourself.
The ice machine was great, water tastes delicious, and you are directly by the beach. Shower was hot, even if the stream was a little weak. All of the staff we did talk with were very helpful. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here!"
"Crescent City - at least on the rainy late-March day we were there - seems kind of a seedy oceanfront town in northern California. Not without its charms, but it’s not Nice. This looks to be the best hotel in the area, on Highway 101 just before you hit downtown. It’s perfectly nice, clean, well managed. And we had a nice suite (2 Queen and 1 King bed) for a very reasonable (off-season?) price.
We were on a Redwoods tour, starting in Santa Rosa and driving all the way up to Crescent City, overnight there, and back down the next day. It’s a good hotel for that purpose. Certainly recommend staying there if you need a hotel in this area."
"The views are top notch. Great location. We’ve stayed here for many years and it seems to be getting more and more ran down. Not very clean and the blow drying didn’t work in the room."
"The breakfast selection was awful. Bagels and cereal— for what they boast, it was very disappointing. The building is old, which is fine but there is no insulation so it is very loud. Please update the bedding. There is no need for bedspreads from the 90’s that don’t get washed with every stay. Change out the fabric chairs so you can wash them down. They were covered in filth. We had to sit on towels. "
"They advertised as being “beachside” but they are not. There is a huge park in between the beach and the hotel. Just wasn’t what we expected. Room was fine otherwise. They are a pet friendly hotel with no grass area. We had to take her across the street. "
