"The place needs updating. Breakfast a little below average-juice machine said apple juice, but dispensed straight water, no bowls available for cereal; but the scrambled eggs and potatoes were good. "
"Room was nice, staff was a bit stand offish. Room price was $300.00 for n extra night so I have to look elsewhere for a room as our plans changed last minute."
"Our stay at this downtown Salt Lake City hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The grand lobby immediately sets the tone, with its inviting fireplace and a piano player that created a warm, relaxing atmosphere.
The amenities were equally impressive. The heated pool extending outdoors was a highlight, especially paired with the two hot tubs that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. It’s a rare treat to enjoy that kind of setup, particularly in a city setting.
Our room was quiet, comfortable, and provided a perfect retreat at the end of the day. The location couldn’t have been more convenient—being close to the public train made getting around downtown incredibly easy and stress-free.
Overall, this hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, atmosphere, and convenience. We’d absolutely stay here again."
"I booked a high-floor king room through Expedia for a recent work stay, but upon arrival I was told the highest available floor was the second floor. The front desk was able to move me to the fourth floor after checking with housekeeping, which I appreciated, but it still was not what I originally reserved.
What concerned me most was that my room number was said out loud in a crowded lobby. As a solo traveler, that felt very uncomfortable and unsafe, especially after already feeling uneasy from another guest in the lobby. Room numbers should be shared more discreetly for guest safety.
The room itself felt very humid and sticky, and even with the AC running all night I could not get comfortable. The hotel is also undergoing renovations, which I understand, but part of the hallway was demolished and the walls seemed extremely thin. I could clearly hear my neighbors’ conversations and loud activity throughout the night making it very difficult to sleep. I did call the front desk about the noise, but the issue was not resolved.
Overall, I understand renovations and booking issues can happen, but the lack of comfort, noise control, and privacy made this a disappointing stay."
"The room and property were clean. It doesn’t have good shampoo, conditioner, or body wash so bring your own as they only put one tiny bottle of each in a room for 4 people. They do serve free hot coffee from 6:30-8:30am. It’s an easy walk to the convention center next door, Delta center, Temple square, planetarium/imax theater, and pretty much anything downtown. Loved the location and will definitely return and stay here again. It was easy taking the tax from the airport to the hotel. "
