"The property was beautiful and very well maintained, the decor is warm and inviting, staff is friendly and accommodating and made our stay wonderful, the Inn is within a short walk to great eateries shopping and attractions, we really loved the place and will be back"
"The stay was quite unique and pleasant! Great location, owner was very sweet and helpful! The room was delightful and just like the photos showed before arrival. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!"
"When we arrived I thought I was at the wrong place, it looked like an army barracks. From the pictures I was hoping for a key west vibe.. not so much, opened the door to our 2 bedroom suite in the first floor, facing the pool and immediately hit the bed with the door. The room was extremely small. Leftover food in the mini fridge, toilet had no water to flush, wet left and at least the 2 girls that were there were very nice and the maintenance guy/ desk clerk/ maybe manager did show us another room but everything needed paint and upkeep. We did get a refund, so thank goodness for that. We didn't get our resort experience for our gfriends 60th but we staying in a suite hotel and it was OK.. first time ever walking out of a reservation and first time having to leave a not so good review..."
"I really enjoy the character of historic hotels. I think they are neat if well kept up, and Historic Hotel Nichols did not disappoint. It was in walking distance to the lake/pier. There was free parking very close by and we were able to take advantage of parking in front of the hotel, but there were limitations. This property is over 140 years old, but is very well kept up. It has a lot of charm and the rooms were very clean. Nick, as well as all the staff worked very hard and were extremely flexible, helpful and kind. We enjoyed our made-to-order breakfasts and enjoyed being downtown with the shops and near the lake. A couple of things to note was that there is no elevator, so I was really glad that 1 of our 3 rooms were located on the first floor so that my my father, who is in his 80's and walks with a cane, could easily get to his room. Although we helped my parents with the parking around the corner, it would've been too much for them if they had been alone. We really enjoyed our stay at this property."
