"Curtains had mould. Ants on bathroom walls and kitchen bench. Could not use kitchen facility as we did not have a stove in our room. $25 each for cocktails that bar staff had no idea how to make. No room service or any services were available. The view was great though. I would not recommend. "

"I always enjoy staying at this property. The team is friendly, and the whole place has such a calm, relaxing feel. The rooms are well maintained, the mattress is incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioner works beautifully — such a relief after a long day.
There’s also a laundry available (located in a separate area at the property), which is really handy, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking. The bathroom is clean and modern too.
Overall, it’s a comfortable, welcoming place to stay and always a great experience."

"Hotel is old but rooms are clean and quiet with new split system aircons and the usual appliances. You will get a good night's sleep here if you don't want any noise disturbing you.
Location very convenient being in the Mackay CBD.
Staff allowed us to use the reception freezer to keep an ice pack cold for my daughter's medication.
