"I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room itself was adequate for the price. Unfortunately, the experience took a serious turn.
Throughout the night, I was woken up multiple times by noises in the hallway. At around 7 a.m., the situation escalated when a stranger began aggressively banging on my door, shouting, and even attempting to force their way in by body-slamming the door, until I yelled out and he left. This was extremely alarming and felt like a serious safety issue.
I tried calling the front desk using the in-room phone, but it was not working. I had to use my personal phone to get in touch. When I finally reached someone, I was told they would “look into it,” but I never received any follow-up or update about what had happened.
At checkout, I received my deposit after telling staff I was checking out early. I was told that staff had spoken to the man, but no clear explanation was provided as to how this situation was allowed to happen or what steps were being taken to prevent it in the future. The incident itself was not addressed until I brought it up, and there was no meaningful reassurance regarding guest safety.
I was also told to contact a third party, Expedia, regarding a refund. As of now, I am waiting for that refund to be processed now that Expedia has reached out to Hotel Milagro.
