Old building but well upkept, clean and beautiful decor. You can feel the grandeur of the past. Staff were attentive and addressed any issues immediately. Breakfast is included but simple choices and the coffee was quite good. Parking included but very small garage so ask for a spot when booking.

GREAT LOCATION - GRAND OLD HOTEL. THE RECEPTION AREA, DINING AREA FROM ANOTHER ERA. THE ROOMS ARE A BIT DATED ALTHOUGH CLEAN. THE STAFF SUPER HELPFUL AS WELL AS FRIENDLY. I WOULD STAY AGAIN.

Nice historic property

Great spot, lovely historic hotel with nice large lobby and breakfast room. Super friendly staff. Good gym area. We were right across from the Christmas market, close to fire tower and museums. I had a large bathroom with tub. I was very happy with this it was a great value.

Let me start with the only negative: the breakfast was cold. The boiled or fried eggs and sausages were cold (you would expect warm but no, cold) . If you want something warm for breakfast, I’d recommend going to nearby cafes. But the dining room’s atmosphere is amazing! The unique vibe and architecture make it unmissable. The interior design is fantastic. It really changes your mood when you walk in. The room’s furniture is a mix of old and modern pieces but the beds are comfortable. I’m not sure if “dated” or “antique” is the right word to use. the bathroom was large, airy and better than many 5-star hotels. The staff were lovely, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful and responsive. If you’re driving, I recommend using their secure car park (just talk to the reception staff). There are nice cafes and a Tesco nearby. The city center is lovely, and the hotel is right in the heart of it. It’s a great location to explore the city.

A good hotel from 1893 with all the modern amenities. The hotel was very well maintained, clean and the breakfast fresh. It is located about 700m from the train station in the center of Sopron.

Does not present like a four star hotel. Grand facade, fancy old building, mediocre inside and amenities. Very hard mattress, lumpy pillows, thin, old towels, no coffee in room, and you have to ask for services at the reception. Excellent location and friendly staff.

This was like a dream of princess for my wife to stay in this luxury hotel. Decors are amazing, room ceilling is very high. This is life in a castle. Very recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel built in the late 1800s. It features great and rich designs, however, it has seen it's better days, and needs some maintenance. At the time of the stay the AC wasn't working, and the SPA was closed. However stay was still pleasant overall.
