I had a great stay at Somerset Lofts. I had some work at Rutgers University and chose this property. The location is very nice and also the room was very clean. Staff was also extremely nice and helpful. I highly recommend this property for your stay in the area.

Family trip, not the best choice.

To start off, the property appeared not so safe. There were many people just standing around outside smoking and being loud. There were people in the corridors leading to the rooms. We heard people yelling at 3am. Not sure if they were in their rooms or in the corridors but it wasnt pleasant. The room was ok but many things were broken or dirty. We had only 2 towels, and when we asked for more, we were told come back tomorrow morning as the cleaning staff is gone. The beds were clean and comfortable and the toiletries were there. I dont think we would go back.

Not sure if this is a hotel or a building that holds homeless families. Stayed overnight because we were in the area for a funeral. The photos online do not represent with the rooms actually look like. It was absolutely disgusting half ripped wallpaper to scattered carpets to mold on molding. Stain on the sheets, dirty Q-tip-Trying to get my money back at this point because it was absolutely repulsive to stay there. It’s unfortunate because the man at the front desk was very nice when I went to complain. He said the rooms are being renovated-but from the moment I walked in, I knew something was wrong.It was awful. The two seater sofa was completely worn and had multiple stains. There was no TV in the downstairs room. We had the “presidential suite.” Once you get upstairs, it’s a hazard, climbing the stairs as each one creaked and felt like you were going to fall through them and then once you approach the bedrooms upstairs- there is no fencing for the stairwell area. You could easily fall down if you make the wrong turn.
