Hotels near SoCal Sports Complex

"Overall the hotel was okay. The room was clean, the pool and hottub were nice, and the continental breakfast was pretty good. It was also located within walking distance of a Starbucks which I always appreciate. The main downsides were 1) the noise - anytime someone in the hall opened/shut their door it woke us up because it was so loud, and 2) the location was a little further from the beach and main area for dining/shops than we expected. "

"First, I think the staff is doing the best they can with what they have to work with. They were great. Breakfast was almost nonexistent. Just instant oatmeal. Kitchen was not much more than a wet bar. We had to ask for dishes and utensils. We received 2 place settings and a frying pan in a drain board. Microwave was so small the plate didn’t fit in it. Do not plan on cooking here. Everything appeared clean, but there is a definite funk in the 3rd floor hallway. It seemed as though a large percentage of the people staying there are permanent residents. It was a little odd. I would not plan on staying here again"

"Worst hotel experience I personally have ever had in my entire Life I am a 58 year old retired U.S. Marine And i cannot recall a time I was ever treated this poorly at a hotel. It was diaturbing how filthy and unclean the room was and how Un friendly the staff was. As well as unprofessional and THREATENING to me. I ended up calling the Ocean aidr Police dept. I have never felt the need to call the police on anyone ever in my Life (with the exception of an assault and battery against me many years ago) The avenida should be condemned. The staff either needs TRAINING? or to just go do something else other than Hospitality."

"As soon as I open, its dirty. Tried cleaning it without opening the bathroom. As soon as I open, it is dirty there was a mark of dirty toilet and very old shower. I cannot recommend this with children if looking for cheap hotel stay. Just stayed there 5 minutes and decided to leave. Did not get a refund cause I tried to clean first the counters and floor without checking bathroom condition. Toilet is so old and dirty. Light is dark so you wont see how nasty it looks."
