Such a stunning property both the building & the gardens were all in pristine condition. Excellent accommodation & breakfast was wonderful. Host was very welcoming as we arrived & continued through our stay, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful property and house!! Gerry and his wife were wonderful hosts, breakfast was fabulous and the rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. It’s very easy to get into Sligo from here. Highly recommend this property!

A stay at the castle

Jerry was such a kind and helpful host! We enjoyed our stay and would return in a second. The grounds were so beautiful as well as the home. I like a softer bed, but it was all just amazing!

The property is amazing--the owners have created a very nice experience. The location was convenient for us as we were traveling across the island, and we were very pleased with the accommodations and the service. The open area could be a little loud at times, but I am certain the staff will figure out how to minimize the noise in no time.

Beautiful property a few minutes from Sligo. Our room (Deluxe suite) was very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable on the area. Gerry gave us many recommendations on where to go or what to visit. Delicious breakfast! We wish we had a longer stay but hope to visit Sligo and Castledale again soon.

Jerry and wife are spectacular, can’t say enough great things about my visit to Castedale. The rooms, the grounds with its mature landscaping, the security at the entrance gate and the wonderful hospitality of your host. Jerry and wife exceeded my expectation. I would recommend this to anybody interested in this all the best.

Is this the best B&B in the world?

Castledale is the most beautiful B&B property or hotel we have ever stayed in, including places that have cost 10x as much. Gorgeous gardens, magnificent house, fitted out with everything you might need. My only regret was only staying one night. Would stay there for a week and be happy next time.

Best place to stay in Sligo.

I was dubious at first with the quality of the reviews being so good, however I can confirm that they are genuine. An extra effort for breakfast was made for my dietary requirements and the grounds and place is better than a hotel. You will not be disappointed. The penthouse suite I took is 250 sq metre. It’s bigger than some houses, great value.

Go Sligo

I arrived late late in the evening around 730 and was greeted by Jerry. It was almost like coming to a friends house to stay if your friends house was a mansion. We asked for recommendations for any restaurants in the town for dinner. Unfortunately we got there too late and most of them are closed. We will be coming back. There is some fabulous places to eat in this town and speaking of eating. I stayed in 11 hotels on this trip to Ireland and this location had the best breakfast, absolutely delicious. Jerry was an excellent host and he made us feel at home.

This was by far the best hotel we've ever stayed at anywhere, it was truly a 5 star place; it looked and felt like it. Exquisite grounds, impeccable service from Gerry, and got to meet his friendly dog as well. We somehow managed to get the penthouse at a reasonable rate and it was so awesome it was unbelievable that we could stay there. The only problem we had is that it was a little too cold in our room for our taste as it was in-floor heating and it was 2000 square feet of open space. We asked for an extra heater and Gerry brought one to us. Breakfast was great and served in a nice high ceiling room with other guests. Real, fresh squeezed orange juice, actually good coffee that comes in a French press and all local ingredients with your choice of options. Bed was really comfortable and a good size. The pillows were comfortable, comforter was extra soft, couches were actually comfortable. When you arrive Gerry comes out to greet you and take your bags, and when you leave he comes out to help you take your bags and check out, just like magic. We've never stayed in an actual B&B before so we can't really speak to how different or better it was, but we've stayed at much more expensive and supposedly fancy places that were just really expensive hotels and fancier looking, but this was a totally different and better experience in every regard. We highly recommend, would stay again!
