"My husband and I visited Rocky Gap for a weekend in August. We went to a comedy show Thursday night and enjoyed the small venue area for the comedian. The doors opened at 7 and once we sat down, we had access to a small bar in the room. No snacks or appetizers in the show room. The next day we hiked the lake loop trail. It’s 5 miles and easy to walk with mostly flat trail. Relaxing afternooon, lots of spots to sit around the lake and bring down drinks from the bar - signatures. The outside bar opens at around 2:00. The Casino was clean and did not have a heavy smoke smell. They had nooks for people who wanted to smoke. The casino staff were exceptionally nice at the craps table. It was my first time playing craps and they were so helpful and made me feel comfortable trying out the game. We didn’t get a chance to check out the golf area but plan to go back for another visit soon. The only negative is the lack of staff for the restaurants- which is just a problem everywhere right now. They were unable to seat us at the lakeside restaurant even with a lot of tables obviously empty. The lobby food selection was okay. The signatures sports bar and lakeside restaurant were the two best options for food. The room was clean and had a nice view of the pool and lake. The room did not smell like smoke. Nice place for a weekend trip! Friendly staff. Clean and safe. "

"This stay was incredible from start to finish. Staff was communicative as we needed, cooling our luxury platform tent ahead of our arrival and giving specific directions for our contactless check in. A binder with thorough information was inside the tent, explaining the site features, the facility, and the amenities of the area as well as how to obtain various items (tooth brushes, personal items, etc). Inside of the tent felt like a hotel room with an incredibly comfortable King bed. Outside, The fire pits have a swing-style grill and wood was set out for us. A Blackstone griddle was also at the site, but we did not use. Solar string lights came on at our site at dusk, thoughtfully switched on (vacant sites remained dim. The bathhouse was IMMACULATELY CLEAN and well stocked with comfy towels and toiletries in the shower. An outside sink station was provided for dishes as well as a large ice chest with bags of ice for sale by QR scan. The area was gorgeous. Up on a ridge as the name suggests, native wildflowers are planted and the property is surrounded by the forest. Each site is far enough away from the other. There is a communal area with Cornhole, picnic tables, and grills. From the bend-over-backwards attention to detail from the staff to the lush tents down to the beautiful location, this place is amazing. We're already plotting our next visit. "
