"When i booked the property i was under the impression that the price on hotels.com was the price. We then had to pay extra for the dogs, extra for bedding and extra for electricity used. It would have been better if this was in the details of the booking before you confirm. When people are on a budget this could be hard for them. Other than that they were very accommodating and even offered us a two bed they had available as there were 4 of us which was really nice of them. Chalet was...

"Smell of weed through out whole place eveb thou no smoking aloud . Ppl running about the corridors at all hours Terrible shouting and banging from room opposite at all hours of day and night reception informed but dont think anything was dome as it continued. Room needs some tlc mould on roof in bathroom toilet seat falling off and tge toilet basin itself moves away from floor shower needs a good scrub mould all around it caperts need a clean and curtains fitted correctly good for just sleeping in room but rest needs sorting"

The Bell Hotel

"I was really awful experience, they just at the bar reception for check in. Then after we through, we only there in a building. When we reached they just help to open a room, and disappeared. At the entry in a room we realised the bathroom door handle is already broken, and in 30 degree hot weather, we are not able to open a windows, as it was sealed. They left an emergency contact number, no one picking the phone. I left down to the bar/reception, no one there. We want to ask to order a food from hotel restaurant, no one there to help. We went out fir dinner. In the morning, we've been down for breakfast, again you can't see any single person to ask where we can have breakfast! I did called again, no one replied. I did email about their services, thank God I received email, saying " we are not premier inn kind of big hotel, we are just small family running this hotel, if you need to book a breakfast or dinner you need to mention at check-in time." It doesn't matter, if someone should not be there to discuss about breakfast. Such an awful experience."

"Old carpets stains just knackered , paint peeling off walls window sill tea and coffee marks plus kettle balancing on window sill to be used with tea offee sugar sachets left on sode covered in tea coffee slops .bathroom smelt and run down didnt dare get a shower. My room was the best out of them . You should of seen the others single room my friend booked was in loft bed on floor wasnt cleaned on time had to wait until after we had been out for tea after 6pm. Shower didnt work. Just window high up. Other standard room same condition but shower did work. All rooms smelt of cannabis from peopke smoking .thought they were supposed to be none smoking. The apartments very run down nothing like the photos the gall way and stairs run down needs new carpets needed a good hoovering everywhere. Not a chance will book there ever again horrendous I was taken aback soon as I walked in hall way never mind seeing the rooms. Other guests arguing early hours shouting swearing. The whole building nothing like the photos on hotels.com. might be the hotel next door on photos . Very very disappointed wont be using hotels.com again due to this incase others in same condition."

"Reception staff very friendly, enough shops, pubs and arcades with the beach walk providing access to Fantasy Islands entertainment, market and plently of options for the others already stated as well as a bunnch of other stuff, accomadation itself is great value and definetly worth the time/money."

Sea Side Hotel

"When we arrived, we had a pleasant welcome, went to the room, it was tatty, all mismatched outdated furniture, paint on the bathroom floor, toilet seat wouldn't stay open ( This was sorted swiftly once reported). Room was very warm and only 2 small windows to open. The bed was very, very low, comfy, but tricky to get out of. Being on the seafront, we had to shut the windows as it was so noisy, that didn't make any difference, outside noise was very loud until gone midnight. What finished off an awful stay was a guest banging and kicking on a bedroom door at 4am in the morning and the occupant shouting at them for a good 30 minutes. When leaving in the morning, 2 people were sleeping in the foyer. All in all, worst stay we have ever had in skeggy, I would say you get what you pay for, however cheap it was it still was too much. Would 100% not recommend."
