Cute place with views of the water. Room was clean and kitchen had the basics for serving ourselves. It is directly across from a grocery & gas pump- very convenient!
This place is nothing fancy; just another guesthouse along the way. The town have a pool close to the guesthouse, but there is nothing else here.
*Very cleand
*Easy access
We booked the stay very late on the same day, and arrived only two hours later. The room was clean and nice. Good size and private bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Cute little kitchen to make your own food. We were very happy with our stay.
The guesthouse was clean and adequate. There is a kitchenette with tables which was good because There is nothing in the area though. 1 restaurant with 2+ hour wait for dinner.
Easy check-in. There is a small kitchen and a small grocery store across the street, it was open until 20 although Google Maps said 18.
The village is quiet and has an amazing backdrop of sharp cliffs and magical light dancing in the mist over the sea.
Wonderful 2-week stay photographing Northern Lights and exploring the middle-north of Iceland. Excellent, comfortable, basic rooms, with a very nice shared kitchen. There's a small store across the street with gas/benzin, a moderate range of foods and supplies, and a selection of fresh fruits/vegetables. Host is responsive and friendly, and multiple times asked if I needed anything.
I can highly recommend Sunnuberg Guesthouse. It is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable as a home base for exploring the region.
Quant little place! Nice to relax I nice stop over after many long days of adventure and travel!

The room and facility was fine, but this small town has very little to offer. We chose Hofsos because of the Sundlaug pool and hot baths, but they were mostly closed for maintenance.
Advertised to have bar and restaurant but there were none. No pool or washing machine. This was not communicated in advance so when we arrived we had to scramble to find amenities after a long day.
Small and old property. The listing pictures give the impression that the property has a pool. The pool is close by (800'), but not part of the facility, and available at extra cost. The bathroom is small and basic. The view is great once you look past the parking and garbarge cans behind the building. Suggest looking at other properties in the area. For food, the Retro Mathus nearby was great.

Property on Expedia shows a swimming pool- there is none. Property on Expedia mentions restaurant and bar- there is none. The description of this property gives the impression that they have these on site. They do not even remotely have anything like this on the property. This reflects very poorly on Expedia. This entire experience felt like a bait and switch.
Pretty small, just 5 rooms and 1 kitchen area. The rooms and bathroom were plenty for each unit. One store, one restaurant that close early, so get food to microwave or bring something with you. The city pool is nearby and was great around sunset.
