Amazing trip. Great service and excellent overall ambience. Great effort by the team in providing an overall very close to nature experience. The Staff was equally amazing and I think the experience was greatly enhanced due to the smiling / service driving work attitude of these people. Amazing part of the stay was we could have our meals in any of the three property and still pay them centrally during checkout. Avin was a great safari guide. We really enjoy the safari trip with him. Amar is a great F&B manager who ensured the guests get what they needed in F&B and otherwise on overall level. Prashant in the Reception is another great asset to Al Sahel. It was great holiday and thank you Team Anantara.
The hotel island is a long drive from Dubai, but the moment you step on the island - it's all worth it. We had a villa in the middle of the forest where we were greeted by Peacocks, Gazelles, and Deers throughout the stay. peacocks were dancing and drinking water from the pond outside our villa. The whole 2 night stay helped us almost forgot the city life and enjoy the blissful tranquility in the midst of nature. All 3 hotels on the island are easily accessible to all guests. We did visit Italian restaurant in Al Yam beach villas (which was delightful BTW)
We tried the African restaurant and the staff there was amazing - especially Tina and the chef on breakfast egg station (my apologies for forgetting his name)
Their are a lot of activities to keep busy and we thoroughly enjoyed the Safari walk in the midst of wild animals.
The most amazing experience was standing in the middle with a horde of about 20+ giraffes running past by us as q hands distance!
Definitely deserves a repeat visit!!
My sister and I stayed one night at the Al Sahel Villa. It was amazing! Animals right outside our back door. It was everything I expected and more from looking at pictures and reviews! We took a safari tour with Owen who gave us a wonderful experience seeing the wildlife on the island. The food and service was excellent, as was all the staff! My only disappointment was that we were only able to stay one night! This is a definite must see if you are in the UAE!
Amazingly re-created the feel of Africa, love the rooms with the thatched roofs, the small splash pool, which you can even request a change in temperature. The staff were amazing, all of them!
Absolutely amazing trip. The hospitality was top notch and the villa was perfect in every way. I really thought we were a part of nature with all the sights and sounds.
Great location, in the middle of the savanna, where you are greeted by peacocks, deers, antilopes, rabbits, and other friendly wild animals..
The villas are extremely well designed and furnished. The resort has a boutique-ish feel to it, with wonderful staff going the extra mile for your comfort.
For someone living in the UAE, this is a no-brainer get-away destination.
Will definitely come back again for a total disconnection experience.
too many annoying things happened for the weekend to be called a success for a 5 star rated hotel.
staff are far to obsequious, and won't take no for an answer, hotel had applied the full room rate to my credit card before I had even arrived -- I had selected hotels.com as the basis of the reservation was PAY at HOTEL -- and I was paying with CASH....your woman at check in was pushy in describing extras and insisting on our making a dinner reservation; On the other hand the young gentlemen, Daniel, who checked us out had exactly the correct demeanor and attitude.
Great experience even though it was way too expensive than my budget. Food spa and safari was great but all cost me almost the double amount of my room rates. Being in an island we are left with no choice..
