Located in a good shopping area and plenty of cafés eateries nearby. Some Singapore temples and history nearby. A pleasant area to stay in. We stayed only one night but thought breakfast options were a bit lacking.

I loved staying at Village Hotel Katong. Excellent staff, very clean and absolutely awesome for any shopping. I highly recommend to anyone that visits the area. Even the elevators were fast and always available with no wait. Lol

This is a really good hotel. We loved the area, so nice to see some of the real “local Singapore life” rooms are good size and comfortable beds. Staff great and good facilities and location perfect only a short walk to East coast beaches and park too. Would definitely stay again and rates are reasonable for Singapore.

The staff were the best, each and everyone of them so helpful and friendly from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance. The hotel is probably in need of refurbishment and when they do, I hope they will change some of the layout to make it more practical to use. The lights were very dim, especially in the bathroom. Other than that, the hotel’s location is excellent.

The room was immaculate, spacious and modern. It's in a great location--you'd need a lot of time to sample all the dining options. There is also a supermarket and bakeries in the lower floors of the hotel (which is actually a shopping center). The staff was also great. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
