They might be in the process of updating rooms, but my room was not updated. All furniture was chipped, tiles stained, bed hard as a rock. I messaged their WhatsApp to ask when room service started, they never answered. I called the front desk, no answer. I called room service, no answer. I went downstairs and asked the front desk when room service started, they told me 6am. I asked about the menu, they said there was a QR code in my room. Searched high and low, zero QR code. I called again, they said they could do it until 6:30am. I went without. They texted me on WhatsApp a day later saying room service started at 9:30am.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Can’t fault their smiles. We can fault the beds. The Flintstone’s could probably sleep on those mattresses but jesus, you will find it tough to sleep through the night. When you wake up, do prepare a stretch routine to get your day going. You’ll need it.

They need to consider upgrading a lot of their facilities - like the elevator, and also consider removing the flooring to match with their new interior. Service at the front desk was inconsistent, and the breakfast spread was not impressive.

For the hotel rate a night you expect that: Towels will be left in the room when room is cleaned but it wasn't on my 2nd day Operator didn't answer when press 0 so i had to go down twice Lines were long as only one staff was checking customers. I feel sorry for staff that they are understaffed It took forever to check in I've travelled extensively to 50 countries often using Expedia but this was the first rating I have had to give given the disappointing service Amara can do much better for customer service, cleanliness and check in timeliness
