"Overall, we had a good stay at The Hills Residence in Simpson Bay and would stay here again now that we know what to expect. The views were absolutely wonderful, and both check-in and check-out were seamless and easy.
There were a few things worth noting for future guests. The room could have been cleaner, especially in low-traffic areas that clearly don’t get much attention. We also booked a room advertised as having one king bed and one queen bed, but it was not clearly communicated that the queen bed was actually a pull-out couch. When we opened it, it was unfortunately quite dirty. That said, once we contacted the property, they responded promptly and sent someone over to spot clean it, which we appreciated.
The property is literally on a hill, so if you don’t have a rental car or have mobility limitations, getting up and down may be challenging. There is also a church next door that can get fairly loud, even with the doors and windows closed.
Communication was another minor challenge, as I received conflicting information between Expedia messages and WhatsApp. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay overall and would return in the future with this prior knowledge.
