"This hotel was spotless and very quiet. Convenient parking underground. In walking distance of shops and restaurants. We went to the restaurant within the hotel that served great food and excellent service by a young Irish lad. they are adjacent to an art gallery right on site. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a fabulous place to stay."

"This hotel is steeped in history, and this history is clearly displayed throughout the hotel. There is a really interesting book in the communal area downstairs which is worth looking through. Although the hotel could do with a decor update, it was clean and comfortable, with lots of the original features which added to the character of the building. We didn’t have much interaction with any of the staff, so can’t really comment. The breakfasts we had were really nice and plentiful. There was a bacon, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, toast, cheeses and meats, as well as fruit juice, tea and coffee. The location to the lake was really good, and only a five minute walk, which leads to a lovely beach area to go for a swim. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the town which can be accessed by a lovely walk lakeside, or through a lovely residential area."

"Excellent breakfast. Cozy cabins with all the essentials and comfortable beds. Supervisor was very accommodating with take away containers for a breakfast to pack when we had an early start one morning. Would love to see them get a hot tub and outdoor sauna, but otherwise, no complaints!"
