"Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery. Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room. Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all."

"Amazing location. Clean, beautiful views, nice room. Staff was not super helpful in terms of the attractions around the area. They were helpful in “hotel” ways though. Food choice is EXTREMELY limited but that goes for the entire town so staying elsewhere wouldn’t have helped."

"Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...

"We got to the property and did not have the upgraded rooms. Apparently they don’t read their emails or bookings from Expedia. We had to scramble to get just regular rooms. The actual rooms hardly anything worked including the locks, the safe, the bathtub did not work properly. It was quite a disappointment. Considering we thought we were getting an upgraded experience. I would not go there again. "
