This is a beautiful quiet facility that has everything that one could want for an enjoyable low keyed stay. The builfdings were beautiful with many sitting and reading areas, the birds were great and the breakfast was first class. and the choice of homemade pies for for a snack. very nice owners!
Directions on how to get there were woefully inadequate. Apparently, the County will not allow signs. You folks need to put a detailed map of this destination on the website
Ten room cottage nestled in San Pedro basin. Remote secure location with wonderful quiet trails for bird watching. Fabulous gourmet breakfasts alternating menu daily. Fabulous desserts & coffee available 24/7. Nice parlor area for gaming or reading. Excellent wifi & Verizon cell support. Good proximity to Karchner Caverns, local wineries & restaurants.
Beautiful hotel in a desert setting. Great for bird watchers. Lots of local birds, and this time of year there are 20,000+ sand hill cranes at a nearby wetlands.
The rooms are very spacoius and comfortable. The breakfast, which is included, is excellent.
Very charming place to stay, very quiet and secluded. Hosts Karl and Patrick do a great job making you feel very comfortable, and the breakfast they have are terrific. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in this area, especially bird watchers!
We were looking for something different then the ordinary hotel setting while visiting friends in the south western Arizona desert area. What we found was a great experience in a picturesque setting next to the river with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and fantastic staff that that pampered guests with the best of food and service.
The hosts are so welcoming and have taken care of every detail. The property is immaculate and the common rooms are well stocked with great reading materials. The breakfasts were wonderful (best pancakes ever) and the pies, which are available all day are delicious. The bird feeders throughout the property make bird and nature viewing easy and relaxing.
You can do nothing here - just sit around and watch the bird feeders - or you can range out for hiking, touring Bisbee and Tombstone, and world class bird watching in Ramsey Canyon and other locations. In fact, this is at the edge of the San Pedro River Riparian Conservation Area, and trails from Casa de San Pedro connect to that trail system. I was alone for this visit, but because there is family-style meal service I wasn't set apart from the rest of the visitors. I certainly want to go back. Patrick gave me a personal tour of the place and how things work when I checked in, and then I was on my own. But Patrick and Karl and other staff were always around, being sure I was enjoying myself and had what I needed - in an unobtrusive way. Very warm, light-hearted.
