"Nice property, but for many it may be a little too far of a walk away from the tourist attractions of downtown Shimoda and for others not offer enough to be a destination property that you’re happy never to leave. It’s a place to stay if your come in a car or are happy to take taxis (the way I came, on a bicycle, is tough because of a brutally steep climb to reach the hotel, which sits on a cliff) Probably a nice place to stay for a couple of nights if you have kids who would enjoy swimming in...

"This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The indoor and outdoor onsen is incredible. The ocean views from the rooms are spectacular. Everyday there is a new sample treat to try. "

"Our stay at Beachside Inn Shirahama was wonderful. It is such a friendly yet laid-back place with clean airy rooms and only a two-minute walk to the beach. The breakfast is tasty and the private hot baths are a fabulous bonus. Highly recommend!"

"チェックアウト前は荷物を外にあるシャワールームのロッカーに入れるシステム。 無人だし、フロントから見える場所でもなく、防犯の意味で不安だった。 チェックアウト後は荷物預かってもらえないので電車で行く方にはちょっと辛いかも。"
