"We stayed in the Premier Twin room and really enjoyed it. The cast iron bath was unusual and a little cramped but a very novel experience. The coffee station was really unique and some of the best coffee we’ve drunk in Japan. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"

"The room was big and the shower and bathroom were separated. Amenities were very thoughtful, like face mask and bath bubble. The location was 10 minutes away from Nishiki Market. I would go back and stay more. "

"Love that this ryokan had halal meal options! The entire place is gorgeous with a beautiful view of Lake Biwa. Easy to get to (they have a shuttle bus from the train station). If you have a private onsen, just know that the shower is also outside. No other options, unless you use the public bath."

"The breakfast was good, but the bread selection wasn’t. The snacks in the guest lobby was always finished, because they kept giving small portions and very few ones too. The options for vegetarians was minimal. Room service took an hour just for dessert and then when we called them to take the trolley, they took around half an hour. When they cleaned our room they mixed all our products together including our used water bottles together, which is unhygienic and messy. We kept our products on different sides of the sink so we wouldn’t mix them up, but they decided to rearrange it they way they liked. They’re only supposed to clean! We initially had a room with a view of the pagoda, but it was covered with all the construction within the hotel that we didn’t even open our curtains."
