Very clean and quiet. It was fall and the room was cold but we found the space heater and talked to the manager and it worked out very well. We ate at the Shell store, which is also owned by the campground and it was excellent with very friendly staff.

Our stay was not so good. The coffee supplies were already opened. The smoked detector was hanging from the ceiling not sure if it was working no light on it. Found the heater and plugged it in so room was warm and dry. Could not get TV to work correctly. Was disappointed for the cost.

Der campground liegt günstig um den bighorn Canyon zu besuchen. Der campground und die cabin war sehr sauber. Die cabin war mit allem wichtigen eingerichtet. Mir hat nur ein Föhn gefehlt. Auch hätte ich gern die Heizung über Nacht angemacht dazu habe ich aber keine Möglichkeit gefunden, obwohl es wohl eine fussbodenheizung gab. Der campground war komplett self Checkin. Man hat alle wichtigen Infos einige Tag vorab erhalten. Was super war. Dennoch wäre es schön gewesen, wenn ein Ansprechpartner für Probleme da gewesen wäre, bei problemen. In meiner cabin war der TV nicht mit dem Internet verbunden und liess sich auch nicht verbinden. Es war niemand da, an den ich das Problem oder beispielsweise die Frage nach der Heizung adressieren konnte.

Bunkhouse stay.

Great location, spacious room, easy check in and out. Pretty clean and good kitchen area. Did not have toaster oven as in pictures online and there were no directions for the AC and not enough blankets. We would stay again. Thank you.

Shell campground cabins are exactly what a campground cabin should be. Small, cozy clean cabins. Bonus to have a small fridge, microwave small coffe maker and TV. No frills beyond that and we loved it! We had the deluxe with a double bed and twin bunks. We were comfortable for a two night stay.

Cabin war schön, Bett bequem, kleine Terrasse. Trotz der Nähe zur Straße sehr ruhig. Haben abends im Old Shell Store Burger essen. Sehr lecker. Dazu ein frische gezapftes Bier. Weil es so lecker war, haben wir uns den nächsten Morgen noch ein Cookie Ice cream sandwich und eine Cinnamon Roll geholt. Alles frisch gebacken. Alles in allem eine entspannte Zwischenübernachtung.

Beautiful cabin and area! We stayed here for just one night (wish it had been longer). We chose it for its convenience between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone. It became a little less convenient when we were forced to change route due to wildfire on other side of mountain. It became very stressful when we had to go over mountain while clock-watching trying to get there before their 7PM check-in deadline, with no cell service to be able to call them. But, as it was, they did provide for us being a little late. Once there, though, stress melted away in the calm beautiful locale. It’s a beautiful spot! Cabin was clean, cozy, thoughtfully decorated. It had heat, refrig, internet. The owner was friendly and accommodating. If we go west again I would definitely plan another (longer) stay there.

Nice property...quiet...i think the tents could have been a little cleaner meaning a vacuum to atleast remove dead insects and spider webs. Bed and pillows comfortable. Nothing glamorous. Also there should be a designated area to smoke. Not everyone is a non smoker.

Lovely, intimate area, comfy cabin, perfect location in a tiny 74 population town. Great little store with yummy fresh baked carrot cake. Different cake based on baker's creation.
