"Place is outdated and there were a lot of stink bugs in the room but staff were friendly and gave recommendations. There is character in this place and the lake views are nice. The mini golf was really cheap and the kids had fun playing. The staff said we could play as long as we wanted. The trail next to resort was pretty and an easy hike with kids. The lobby was decorated and it was a great stay for just an overnight."

"Carter Caves Lodge was in a quiet rural setting, the buildings were nice but needed some love. The staff was excellent and very kind showing the true spirit of the people of Kentucky. The “amenities” are the beautiful elements of nature that surround the lodge. Hiking, camping, horseback riding and more. The lodge food as well prepared and the staff was welcoming. I definitely recommend this hidden gem."
