"it was really nice because I was alone so I had all the amenities, bathroom, kitchen, etc... for myself alone."

"I loved this unique hotel, it was a tick off the bucket to stay in the rainforest! The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent and great value for money. It is very easy to get to the animal centres and I was still able to access the internet so could order grab taxis. I’d definitely recommend bringing bug spray! 100% would recommend, where else can you stay in the rainforest?!"

"If you just want a bed for a night it is fine. Definitely wouldn’t want to stay longer. Breakfast was very basic no cereal or milk, only 1 fresh fruit papaya I think. Probably wouldn’t stay again but conveniently located to airport."

"Close to the airport, but far enough not to hear the noise. Nice clean room. Bathroom needs some re-thinking. Shops and restaurants nearby. No elevator to the rooms. "

On four occasions we had random people enter our room without knocking, which was not okay. Once guy even got cross with us and said we should have locked the door. "For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. "Sabah hotel was clean and confortable. The staff was friendly the food was tasty. I ejoyed a relaxing massage and enjoyed the appearance of a large water monitor at the pool. I also appreciate that my western style bathing suit was foundto be acceptable attire. Unfortunately, though I was looking forward to the lamb barbecue on Saturday that very day when I asked about the extra activity near the pool, the staff told me that the barbecue was cancelled and the kitchen was closed to to a wedding event scheduled at the hotel. It would have been ice to be reffered to another restaurant rather thankust be be told yhat the desert and alcohol bar would be open. "

"Staff are exceptional - friendly, kind, helpful. There's nothing fancy about the place, but nothing fancy is needed, given the surroundings. I especially enjoyed my balcony with the fan. Breakfast is decent and it's only a 20 min walk to the orangutan rehab centre and 5 mins to the rainforest discovery centre."

"We have never been to an area like this before and came because of the wildlife and culture. Sepilok Forest Edge Resort provided both. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the way Sepilok invites you into their culture and the way the lodge was built with the environment in mind. "
