"The hostel is amazing. It was clean, well decorated and a true reflection of the Black culture. The roof top was peaceful, full of nature and the view was amazing both in the daytime and the night. The staff were polite, respectful and helpful. The only con is that on Expedia the driving time was advertised as 40 minutes when it’s an hour drive. Would I return to the single room I booked with my Gambian partner? Most definitely. I had a great time. "

"From the website, La Villa Serere should be a lovely stay but what we found in the comfort apartment was a dirty bathroom with broken furniture, broken outdoor kitchen and broken generator as our view. The villa kitchen is filthy and covered in bugs that the staff was sending breakfast out of. Being so close to the airport and a newer construction this place should be fabulous but it clearly lacks good management on its upkeep. "I expected a bit better for the price and for the brand. Overall quite worn, dirty carpets, moldy molding, leaky toilet floor… it just wasn’t up to par with the Pullman brand and left me feeling like the lobby is what they focus on and not the rest of the hotel upkeep. Most of the pumps in the bathroom did not work, they tried fixing but they didn’t work and it left a lot to be desired for the price point. The staff were really lovely, the food was fantastic, but seems like they’ve had a hard time keeping up the rooms and the quality in-room."

"The beach staff can be a little overbearing - the beach staff (while good security) are watching every step you take… headed to the ocean, making sure you don’t move a towel that has been sitting on a chair for 3 hours - ha! The concierge staff is really good though… kind and caring. Desk staff can be blunt and got us a bad taxi ride to the airport"

"The Rhino is finished. Very depressive atmosphere, the whole resort needs a massive change, what’s overdue for probably ten years. The rooms only have windows in the front door, that gives you daylight for a little part of the room. The other 2/3 is always dark. If you open the curtain everyone can watch you in the room. I had a bone in the swimming pool, the pools are filthy. The same with the sun beds, dirty-full of marks and sweat. The staff walks around like they don’t want to be there. You barely get a hello from the guys at the reception. There was nothing positive. The atmosphere was spuky. Rhino is finished, maybe a 3 star hotel."

"Our Family Room could use a little refreshing, but aside from that, our stay was absolutely perfect. The breakfast and lunch kitchen teams were exceptionally kind and attentive, and the reception staff were equally welcoming and professional. I also needed to work during my stay, and the internet connection was excellent — fast, stable, and very reliable, which made a real difference. Food was also diverse and very good. I have stayed in many Novotel properties, particularly across Europe, and this one truly stands out as the best experience I’ve had so far. A special thank you to Ousmane, Safietou, and the lovely lady welcoming guests at the restaurant entrance for their outstanding service and warm hospitality. We will gladly return."
