Second stay here. Perfect location if you are there to hike or enjoy nature. The hotel resturant serves very good food at reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly, and atmosphere is cosy. Recommend!

Cosy place, amazing view, nice food

We loved our stay here. VERY nice staff (in particular Mathis) & amazing environnement. Some technical issues (lift, swimming pool), room could be refreshed but it’s a very good quality/price balance for Norway!

The rooms are outdated and poorly maintained. We stayed in room 210. There were many drill holes in the walls from decorations, lamps and curtains that once used to be at those spots. The room was clean, so it is mainly an aesthetic issue. The lobby, restaurant and public area are much better maintained and look very nice. I don't understand why the rooms aren't at the same level. Would I recommend this hotel? No, I think there are better options. But if the price is ok and nothing else is available it will offer a safe and clean place.

Would be excellent with a few tweeks

This was a nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that let it down was a virtual reception desk, but no signage in other languages that told you so, the only way we knew was by asking a passing staff member. The breakfast was excellent, but you could not eat before 8 am.

The pros: The hotel is in a wonderful setting in the mountains. The restaurant is excellent. There is a very large indoor pool (plenty long enough for laps). The first floor is newly remodeled with many nice places to sit. The cons: the elevator is broken and there are many floors to climb, and one is not allowed to pull up a car in front of the hotel. Upstairs, things are run down. There are wires hanging in the hallway. Our room (at least) was super-shabby, and there was peeling paint and black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Because the automatic lock was broken on the room with Mountain View that I had reserved months before, we were put in the family room overlooking the back service area. Although the manager gave us one free meal in the restaurant, it isn’t possible to make up for the impact of the bad room on the total experience.

Hej! We enjoyed very much our stay in Rondane. However, some points that can be improved upon are mentioned here 1). There was no hangers in the wardrobe, not even the pin to put hangers on (see enclosed photo). We mentioned this to the reception but they said they could do nothing (except give us one (1) extra hanger). Perhaps they misunderstood (the point being that there was no place to put the hanger on), but anyway, we find it remarkable to provide a hotel room with no space to hang clothes, in particular a hotel like this where guests are very likely to do trekking and return with wet clothes that needs to dry... 2) The breakfast didn't open until 8am. Also remarkable! I mean, people come to this kind of hotel to spend time outdoor and now we had to wait several hours before we could leave the hotel for our trekking experiences. Well, thanks to the very friendly staff we could get some breakfast a bit earlier, but still, we never been to a hotel with so late opening hours for breakfast (on a weekday) and this will be a reason to never return to this particular hotel again. Sorry, this is just not good enough!

Ekstra sengen var skjev og vi måtte ta madrassen på gulvet. Resepsjonen var stengt så vi fikk ikke gitt beskjed før neste morgen. Renhold var OK på rommet, men dårlig på fellesområdet som toalett og garderobe til basseng. Hyggelige ansatte pg god frokost.

Hotellet virker slitent. Badet har nok sett sine bedre dager. Heisen virka ikke. Masse støv og skitt i alle trappene, og det var ikke bare fra en dag. Frokosten var heller ikke noe å skryte av. Egg og bacon var ett lite rundt speilegg med ei kvart skive bacon på .

Hotellet bærer preg av å være lite ivaretatt - vedlikeholdt . Lite innbydende med skitne vinduer /glassdører med "kladdemerker" - Brukte trapper for å komme til rommet - det var det mye "hybelkaniner" - innblandet med hundehår og masse grus /sand. Heis i ustand. Nøkkelkort måtte erstattes med med vanlig nøkkel pga i ustand . Innsjekking digitalt fungerte ikke - var ikke reg som gjest . Ok senger - dusj som måtte settes på via håndvasken sitt blandebatteri !!!!! Ok frokost . Totalt sett lite innbydende hotell - vil ikke anbefales.

Flott beliggenhet og god mat i restauranten. Fint med ganske gode viner uten at prisen gikk i taket. Rommet var langt under forventningene, med utsikt i blikktak som og høres godt når det regner. Lekkasje på veldig enkelt bad. Styr unna 103. Var ikke mulig å oppgradere eller bytte rom.

Slitt, men hyggelig og flott beliggenhet

Litt slitt. Rommet hadde mugg i taket på badet. Vi hadde lave forventninger til standard, så ble ikke skuffet ellers. Koselige oppholdsrom. Maten var helt ok, ikke mer enn det. For prisen vi betalte (1700 for en familie på fire) var det verdt pengene mtp at turmulighetene er mange, at det er basseng der, og at personale er hyggelige mot barna.

Site magnifique, avec des options infinies pour la randonnée à proximité. Accueil et service sympathique. Excellente nourriture au restaurant. Et quelle vue sur les montagnes! Le petit déjeuner inclus est parfait. Hébergement rustique mais confortable.
