Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlottesville Downtown/University Area
8/10 Good
"It’s a no frills hotel. Great value for the price. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. It’s very clean and the included breakfast was delicious! We did encounter some issues and the staff tried their very best to resolve."
"We found the room and the entire property to be very aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast buffet was hot and tasted wonderful. The breakfast area was clean. The coffee was great. The only negative (and we really didn’t pay it much attention at all) was that the room air conditioner was loud. But it functioned perfectly and the room stayed cool. Which was far more important than the sound of it. The room was spacious. The water pressure was better than anywhere I have ever stayed. If we are back in Charlottesville we will be staying here again."
"PROS - Spacious rooms, Great Location on downtown mall, Gorgeous Lobby Atrium, Free Parking, Good value for such a lovely setting. Will definitely return.
CONS - Housekeeping is late. On 2 occasions, we returned to our room at 3:30 pm which still had not been cleaned.
- WIFI works well, but hotel software would not connect me without assessing a daily charge. Front desk accommodated us and waived charges, but its frustrating.
- Hotel Software makes ir difficukt to sign up as an OMNI member ( to accrue points and get free wifi). Again, front desk accommodated me, but OMNI software / interface with potential customer/members needs improvement."
"The staff was helpful and kind, my trip to Charlottesville was not a vaca but to the local hospital for a family member and the staff informed me of a discount that was available through the hospital. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"
