"Perfect location, right by the Neuschwanstein bus and carriage stops and the path up to Hohenschwangau castle, and a very short walk to the lake. Lovely restaurant - we booked a table through reception and had a table looking up at the castle. Our room was very quiet. The only slight downside was no aircon so the room was very warm (a fan was provided). Staff were very helpful. There was a small car park for guests - we arrived relatively early so didn't have any issues getting a space although there weren't enough spaces for all guests. The main town car park was nearby though. We'd highly recommend this hotel."

"This was a very modern, chic and trendy hotel. Very clean and the location was great. We were traveling with our family and the bathroom was a little challenging because there are no doors to the bathroom or shower. The shower drain clogged, and because there is no lip in the shower, water went all over the bathroom (but the staff cleaned it up quickly). I think this was the market rate for other hotels in Fussen, but it was expensive, and breakfast and parking wasn’t included. Maybe just not the right fit for our family, but a couple looking for a fun getaway it would be awesome."

"Property was very well located for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle! There was also a pleasant walk down to the nearby lake. There was a large garden with a lovely view but sadly it was not well maintained and there were not many seats. The rooms were basic but fine."

"Great hotel - bike hire - great choice at breakfast including eggs cooked whichever way you like, brought to your table. Room clean. No kettle etc but they were available to take to your room from a unit on first floor. Friendly staff - ate at night in restaurant - food very good. 10min bike ride into Fussen centre or about 20 min walk. Cycling very popular with separate bike paths. Parking was OK but when hotel busy not enough bays but can park alongside of building. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff, particularly Dami (?), was very kind and helpful. The breakfast offerings were unbelievable--definitely take advantage of that. Also, make sure to take a bike to the castle. It's a lovely bike ride and easier to manage. Just really pay attention to the warnings to get there 1.5-2 hours in advance. The grounds were well kept and had a lovely view of the castle. The only thing that was a bit hard to figure out were the spa facilities and how to use them. An orientation could be helpful."
Villa Ludwig Suite Hotel & Chalet

"The location was perfectly located for walking to & from both castles. I’m 72 and had no issues walking, although it is uphill. I had no trekking poles and rested as needed. Our room was #103 and the room had an acceptable view of the bigger castle (or as we called it, Castle N) The free breakfast was great and also had a view. What was exceptional was the helpful guide to the area in English. The front desk made reservations for dinner. The down side: restaurant’s close around 8 pm so plan accordingly. I paid for the city tax and the snacks eaten the night before we left. I could not get a free bus pass until we turned in the room key and since we had to catch the early train, when I asked for the pass at 7:00 a.m. the people (breakfast helpers) had no idea that I had already paid and no idea where the bus passes were. So, we had to pay for 3 people, about 9 euros. So if this scenario fits you, make sure the receptionist leaves the bus passes for you to get the next morning. We were allowed to breakfast early which was very kindly of them."

"The room was clean and spacious. We had a family room, so there were even two bathrooms, which was excellent. The outside balcony was as also great. Breakfast was a standard European continental breakfast, but good."
