Unfriendly staff. Didn’t feel welcome.
Rooms weren’t very clean. Ants in the room for example. Staff weren’t very friendly upon check in. We came in at 6.30pm and asked if we could eat in the restaurant. We hardly was allowed dinner as they were closing down. So we rushed through dinner and generally didn’t feel very welcome. Beds were ...

Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl! Das wusste ich nicht, und kam mit meinem großen Koffer (3 Wochen Reha als Rheumapatientin an). Böse Überraschung! Das Haus ist schön, das Bett wunderbar! Aber: leider war das Zimmer recht kalt (unter dem Dach, draußen -10°). Außerdem braucht die Dusche eine Grundreingiung. ...

Staying in an historic schloss in the eastern German countryside was a unique experience. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful, though communication was a bit disconnected at first. The Schloss is well off the beaten path - but very charming.
