"Unfortunately our prepaid reservation from several months ago was not known the to staff working the reception. Our party had hiked to the this location (all day hike) and was turned away. The hotel did find another available accommodation with a different property in another town and drove our party there - however would have to pay all over again, and none of the amenities important to us. "The hotel is perfectly located at the top of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from the Black Forest hiking trail. The rooms offer beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. "The rooms are a bit run down with bathroom facilities and lighting that are still in the 70s. The hotel says has a wellness center with pool, but this is an overstatement. The pool is maybe 10 mt long, the sauna is ok, the changing room is something between a storage room and a doctor's. the restaurant is ok, but nothing special with the waiting staff that could be more friendly "

"A quiet, fairly residential location meant we weren't quite sure what to expect from this hotel. We were delighted. The room was the usual size but well appointed with a great powerful shower and unusually a heat lamp to help you stay cosy while getting dried! We ate in the restaurant and the food was enjoyable. Breakfast had a good selection of items too. We used the garage to park our cycles and the racks were easy to access and seemed secure. The town centre wasn't too far away and there was nice parkland nearby for walks."

"We had a lovely stay in a family suite. Spacious and modern. We would have liked a balcony, however. The beds were comfortable enough, the internet worked great, even when we had several devices connected. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet doesn't have loads of choice, but is tasty. The evening meals are the same. A small amount of options and small portions, but delicious. The pools are great and the pool area is clean, with complimentary tea, coffee and water to drink. The walks around the hotel reward you with stunning views."
