"The Brufani is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia. The location is very centrally located, yet up on the Hill so not too congested. My room was a bit tired looking from a design standpoint, but it was an oversized suite overlooking the entire valley below and a medieval tower just feet away. Ask for room 138. "A truly excellent hotel in terms of value for money, service, cleanliness, decor and transport links. It's a two star, but I suspect if it had a lift it would rank higher. There are only three floors in total and there was a stair lift, if needed, for suitcases etc. The owner is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady and the hotel is directly opposite the train station for Assisi with frequent buses to the old town. I would highly recommend thus hotel. "
