"We had an overnight layover in Belgrade and booked Hotel Mar last-minute when we landed through Expedia. As soon as I called to arrange airport transportation, the front desk representative answered with, “Hello Mrs. Marberry,” which immediately impressed me. Although the shuttle wasn’t available at that moment, he carefully explained how to get a taxi from the airport without getting scammed, which I truly appreciated. When we arrived, he was just as professional in person. The hotel lobby was beautiful and spotless. We enjoyed having a drink in the lobby bar, and the waitress was incredibly nice and welcoming — a perfect way to unwind after traveling. Our room was clean, thoughtfully themed, and extremely comfortable. After settling in, we grabbed a bite to eat, and the same gentleman at the front desk arranged a taxi to and from the restaurant for us — excellent service from start to finish. The price was excellent, especially for the level of service and quality we received. Great accommodations, outstanding customer service, and only about 12 minutes from the airport. "A strange set up. When checking in I had to telephone a number displayed on entrance door and was connected to someone who said they would arrive on 5 minutes. The staff member was quite rude. Room was warm and clean apart from some mould in corner of shower tray. Small wrapped bar of soap and 3 sachets of shower gel in bathroom. Room was not serviced during my 4 night stay nor did I see any staff around during my stay. The facilities advertised do not seem to exist. I think this is a classic case of you get what you pay for - if the price is cheap don’t expect much"
