"We chose the Hotel de Bordeaux for our visit to Bergerac for its location and amenities. It did not disappoint; excellent and helpful staff, brilliant location with an easy walk to the old city, a private secure car park, quiet comfortable room, and a good breakfast. "This is a very central hotel, and at first glance is very much in the traditional mould. However everything is modern, comfortable and works. There's even a pool and the breakfast was very good. The parking is limited but there's (paid) public parking right outside. Overall very good value for money."
"Booked a room for seven nights, but checked out after the first night. It was incredibly hot that week, around 105 degrees. The room had no air conditioning, or fans. The windows could not be open during the evening because there were no screens in the windows and with the mosquitoes and bats flying around that was not an option. It was cooler outside than in the room.
When I decided to check out the following day the staff were apologetic, but there was nothing they could do.
The resort, as of now has not offered a refund for the remaining six nights."
